• Describe the composition, size characteristics, and mechanism of action of ultrasound enhancing agents, including the role of harmonic resonance in generating diagnostic signal.
• Identify established and emerging clinical applications of contrast-enhanced ultrasound across cardiac, abdominal, pediatric, and vascular imaging.
• Discuss the safety profile of ultrasound enhancing agents, including considerations for patients with patent foramen ovale (PFO), pregnancy and lactation, and patients undergoing subsequent CT or MRI examinations.
